MAT is a family of companies and products providing employment opportunities with more than 14,000 employees in 12 countries.Job DescriptionThe SAP Applications Developer with Business Analysts to design and develop software solutions to meet business requirements at a high level of complexity. Solutions will include output requirements, user exits, reports, dialog transactions and other functions in SAP as well as various other applications as required.Principle ResponsibilitiesMaintain the dictionary structure in SAP as neededImplement appropriate security measure in all custom codeDocument development work according to departmental standards/requirementsDebug system issues to resolve problemsProvide guidance and direction to other developersParticipate in design discussions with functional resources as neededQualificationsEducation/ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in computer science, programming or other IT related discipline or equivalent work experience.SAP ABAP certification desiredABAP development in procedural and object oriented stylesSAP output creation/maintenance using SAPScript, SmartForms and Adobe FormsHTML developmentJava scriptingOS level scripting in Windows architectureKnowledge and understanding of SAP IdocsSelf-motivated to bring project assignments to completion.Possess good written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work in a sometimes pressured team environment interacting well with others.Capable of collaborating with team members to provide technical information on solution development.Ability to work with minimal day to day supervision.Ability to develop group consensus and make decisions.Understanding of computer technology, methodology, and full life-cycle development.Ability to analyze and translate technical specification into program solutions.Good Desktop (MS Office) skills.Willing to travel up to 10% of the time.Significant (several years) experience ABAP development including writing and maintaining custom programs, forms and dialog transactions.Some experience with EDI desiredExperience with web design including HTML and Java scriptingAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
