Job Overview SAP Functional Lead for medium-scale, moderately complex migration project from legacy system to SAP ECC. Act as a liaison between Daimler SAP Logistics system (PTSI) IT team and the business units utilizing the system. Primary business partners supported are the Order Center and Shipping teams, leveraging the SAP Sales & Distribution module. Responsible for leading the IT Order Center and Shipping functional team to prioritize responsibilities and support their professional development. Responsibilities Support business users with best practices, troubleshooting, system monitoring, and detailed specifications of enhancement or change requests. Focus on opportunities to align Logistics and Order Center processes within the global Truck Powertrain community. Build and foster relationships within IT and business to achieve this. Work in close alignment with local and global resources to realize an overall system support and change management model. Implement standard Daimler IT Operating Model processes for incidents, problems, and change requests. Solve complex business challenges through detailed process and system knowledge. Create an atmosphere of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement of process and system proficiency. Core Functions/Duties Process, functional definition / specification and solution design for SAP Sales & Distribution scenariosConsult business partners in Order Center and Shipping groups on SAP best practices and how to apply to the running SAP environmentServe as SAP IT Functional lead in an SAP implementation project for all work packages interacting with SAP Sales & Distribution Ensure end-to-end processes are documented and supported with robust technical solutions that meet/optimize business requirementsProvide oversight and guidance to other projects for new assembly lines or business opportunities impacting the SAP Sales & Distribution module Qualifications Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience) Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university required 5 years related experience requiredExperience with a minimum of 2 full life cycle SAP implementation projects requiredStrong understanding of external systems interfacing to/from SAP requiredExcellent communication skills requiredDemonstrated efficacy in fast-paced environment with competing demands requiredAbility to recognize and prioritize critical issues that pose significant impact to operations and/or system requiredAn attached resume is required Typical Minimum Experience Preferred (Desired Skills/Experience) SAP production planning experience preferredExperience with EDI and Idoc mapping preferred Additional Information Final candidate must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background checkEEO/Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans For an accommodation or special assistance with applying for a posted position, please contact our Human Resources department at 503-745-8982 or toll free 800-206-3369.
